There is one place in Oasis that rivals the foot traffic of Oaza Plaze, and that is the Oasis boardwalk area. From streets lined with small businesses and curbside performers, to the year round carnival that makes its home on the pier, it is a local hub and a tourist attraction all in one. And at the end of the pier, there is the ferris wheel which is a favorite spot for couples looking to end their night with a romantic gesture, and for a few extra bucks, the operator can be swayed to pause your cart at the top for a few minutes longer than usual.
Whether you're drawn in by the speakers blasting the top 40 overhead or the promise of consistent air conditioning, Let's Play is a hub of activity on the boardwalk in Oasis. The arcade has been the location of many birthday parties, DDR tournaments, and one William Shatner sighting. Don't underestimate the staff. Just because they are mostly high school students working their first job doesn't mean they don't care about it. Take 'em seriously or they'll find a way to rig your skee ball machine.
If you're wandering downtown Oasis late at night there are a few nightlife opportunities available to you. Standing out among the crowd is the one and only Enzi. Founded during prohibition, Enzi has gone from speakeasy to dance club. With an intoxicating atmosphere, friendly employees, and the most stunning dancers, it whispers the promise of a good time. Please do consider your phrasing carefully though. The Jakari brothers that own the upscale establishment do not take kindly to the word 'stripper'. Their employees are their family and they won't hesitate to remove you should you be disrespectful.
Owned by Mica and Matias Batista, Dos Ruedas is a hot spot for locals and tourists alike. The restaurant offers authentic Mexican food to the Oasis area. You'll most often see Mica roaming around visiting with regulars and introducing herself to new faces. Matias is harder to spot but if you send compliments to the chef he'd appreciate it anyway. Dos Ruedas opens it's doors to a warm and friendly atmosphere around lunchtime and closes down for the night just after two in the morning for those crawling home from the bars with a craving for tacos.
Ice cream. Coffee. This place basically just serves the life source of almost every resident of Oasis. The only thing missing is the alcohol, but you will have to venture elsewhere for that. This family friendly cafe is a hub for kids and adults of all ages. Lots of students take advantage of the free wifi and lots of kids take advantage of the flavor sampling offered at the ice cream counter. With seating both inside and outside, Hot n’ Cold is a great place to catch up with friends or to work on your next big project.
Towards the outer limits of town you can find another shopping area, the Oasis Mall. This open-air shopping mall is not only filled with stores of many kinds and prices, but it also has some dining options and entertainment destinations, such as the Oasis Regal Cinema and the local bowling alley, 7-10 Split. A hot spot for local students of all ages, there is a large courtyard area with tables, benches, and a wishing fountain. So if you need a little luck, toss in a coin, and just hope that whatever magic the fountain may possess is a bit more pure than that of some Oasis residents.
From sun filled days to drink filled nights, Oaza Plaze is a popular stomping ground for all types. From visitors coming to enjoy some vacation level beach experiences to Oasis locals stopping by Haven for their usual poison, this speckled sand beach is a high traffic area for Oasis. Official plaze hours are dawn to dusk, and the local officials strongly recommend no swimming without a lifeguard on duty, but we all know some rules were made to be broken.
Known as the local watering hole, Haven truly lives up to its name. Whether you are out celebrating with friends or sitting alone attempting to drink the world away, Haven has a seat for you. This beach front bar originally opened its doors only about a decade after the creation of Oasis. It has since become somewhat of a historical landmark in the town, with relics and items from days long gone, such as the broken jukebox in the corner that only plays half of its setlist and will never play the actual number you punch in.
Oasis Marina is a paid public marina filled with boats of all shapes, sizes, and uses. As long as you are willing to pay the annual fee to help with marina upkeep, you can park whatever boat your heart is set on in the Oasis Marina. There are fishing boats, house boats, motor yachts, and cabin cruisers, just to name a few of the styles you will see floating around the area. Just remember to be courteous to those around you, and keep an eye out for certain locals who just may frequent the waters of Oasis.
Fish Love is Oasis’ very own seaside sea life sanctuary, try saying that three times. It’s not massive, and sits close to the marina. It is mostly used to help the sealife near Oasis waters get rehabilitated and then re-immersed in the water. For this reason the animals within the aquarium are always changing, and both locals and tourists enjoy visiting this place many times a year. If you’re lucky, you might even catch a mermaid having a swim within the tank.
Real estate prices on the coast line may be a bit higher than those in the suburbs, but you truly get what you pay for with them. From side by side beach bungalows with sand filled backyards to a cliffside villa with breathtaking ocean views, you can truly find heaven on earth in these small communities.
The sand bar is located to the north of Oasis, just passing the edge of the coast side homes. It’s known to locals mostly, who use the small stretch of sand to relax ocean side without the constant presence of tourists during the busy summer months. Though the size of the sandbar differs with the tides, most usually it is over eight feet wide, and fifteen feet long, ensuring comfortable relaxing under the sun. It sits above coral, so be careful when swimming to it, as the coral can be jagged and cut you.

There is a place for everyone in Oasis, and that includes the workforce also. From the shore to downtown to the wilds, there is something for everyone. That is, everyone who needs or wants to work. So whether you are in school working your first part time job, or you are a business owner of your own, this is where you earn your dough.
Located in the heart of Oasis are two multi-story apartment complexes. Whether you are looking for a small studio apartment or a five bedroom to fill with friends or strangers, you can find a reasonably priced apartment that will fit your needs. For a little extra you can even get a unit with a balcony. Most of the residents are chill and inviting, just try to keep the noise to a minimum and don’t leave your trash in the hallways.
The atmosphere is overtaken by excited children, barking dogs, and at least one hot dog vendor with an unrelenting cough. He swears it's not contagious but no one gets close enough to be sure and the health inspector isn't fussed. Plus, the hot dogs are pretty good. The park in downtown Oasis is just that, an oasis. It offers green grass, tall trees, a public pool, two playgrounds, and both a basketball and tennis court. Just be respectful of the land and remain upwind of whatever kid is ditching school to smoke weed.
Oasis may be a small town, but there is one thing they pride themselves on greatly, and that is their education systems. The Oasis Public School system includes an entire K-12 program, with Oasis Elementary located a few blocks away from Oasis High School. And after you graduate from high school you can absolutely continue your education at Oasis Community College. Though it is a bit smaller than the more major universities, this school offers a wide range of subjects and employees many different intelligent and skilled professors from all around the world.
When settling down in Oasis many families find that the suburbia area of Oasis is a bit more affordable than the coast side real estate. Beautiful homes of all family sizes are available in this safe and friendly neighborhood, but just remember that everything is not as it seems. So be courteous to your neighbors, and pick up after your dogs, please!
Surrounding a large portion of Oasis is the Woodlands National Park, known to the residents of Oasis as simply the Woodlands. This is a protected preserve, and while there are a handful of hiking trails that are patrolled and kept by licensed rangers, some of our wilder residents tend to find themselves traveling off the beaten path. While the Woodlands are full of natural beauty, they are also full of magic and secrets. So if you are a visitor to Oasis and decide to take in the beauty of the Woodlands, be careful not to stray too far from the path, and try to get back before dark.
